Late Night Snack

Vegemite and peanut butter

Standing by each other

Waiting, oh so, patiently

Up there in the cupboard

For me to make a choice tonight

And lift one of their covers

I'm hungry for a sandwich

But unlike Mrs. Hubbard

I have so many choices

But I'm waiting for a sign

The bread is sliced upon a plate

Pleading..."please make up your mind"!!

So in pure desperation

As my stomach growled out loud

I made my choice between them......

And had potato chips
